Recently, we sat down with eaa Architectural Associate Tim Nguyen for a little industry chat, along with a question we posed to all our staff this month – what does PRIDE in the design community mean to you?
Incorporating personal style into a client’s vision takes a unique creativity and thoughtfulness. For me I derive a lot of my personal style from the fashion and art world, more specifically I tend to gravitate towards what has developed within the “street culture” aspects of these disciplines.
As spring moves into summer I find myself drawn more and more outside during all times of the day; a morning walk, lunch outside, an evening bike ride. While on these neighborhood ventures I have enjoyed finding historical biophilic design elements all around me.
Springtime, for me, is a welcome return to weekend bike rides with friends. There’s so much rejuvenation in spending a full day exploring different areas of the city otherwise rarely visited. After nearly two decades in Chicago, the city still delivers on new moments of discovery.
There is nothing I love more than wood and stone.
